Extortionists Arrested Through CPLC EAST ZONE Effective Intervention

A notorious gang of Extortionists have been arrested by SIU Police on effective Technical assistance by CPLC East Zone team. A case of Extortion was reported at CPLC East Zone on 12-1-16 demanding an extortion amount of One Million.

CPLC East Zone team immediately started working on technical data and gathered valuable information. On Jan 14th, the complainant was fired with bullets on his vehicle in Korangi area. Alhamdulillah the victim was saved.

Several raids were made by SIU Police along with CPLC East team since the Extortionists were not staying at one place for more than few hours.

However In depth technical data analysis and timely information gathering by CPLC East Zone resulted in the arrest of 2 notorious criminals namely Imran from Korangi area and Rehan from Federal B Area on Jan. 28th 2016 who were mainly involved in Extortion calls, firing on the vehicle and harassment to citizens.

Both the Extortionists are put behind the bars and further investigation is in progress to ascertain their links with any other criminal groups.
