CPLC Chief Mr. Zubair Habib along with his senior CPLC office bearers visited Montessori, Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary level schools in PECHS Area.
The Chief CPLC and his team examined the security steps taken by schools management and advised them steps which are essentially required to prevent or minimize losses/casualties in case of any terrorist activity.
The team observed some deficiencies in terms of security measures and highlighted the the need for increasing Boundary walls height, installation of CCTV surveillance cameras at critical points, placement of guards at specific spots specially at entrance and exit points, need for scattered school start and end timings, development of cordoned off areas for parents and visitors, installation of iron gates at critical junctions and organizing safety drills and awareness sessions for staff and students.
The CPLC team also emphasized the need of having emergency numbers at main spots, easily accessible to all, to have quick response in case of any untoward incident and assured schools’ management for cooperation and assistance on behalf of CPLC Sindh.
